Wintec's En­gi­neer­ing and Trade's Facility has an open plan layout, flexible teaching spaces and the latest tech­nolo­gies. Wintec's ground-breaking facility supports a new teaching style to better meet the needs of today's employers. Students are learning as they do in the real world, as a team of engineers engaged in project-based group work.

Wintec wanted to engage a company with the vision to un­der­stand these ob­jec­tives and provide unique workshop solutions that would con­tribute to their 21st century teaching and learning goals. Boscotek was the choice.

Project Goal

To provide aesthetic, practical and cost-effective workshop solutions to support the building's unique design and Wintec's new way of learning.

The Process

The fit out of these in­no­v­a­tive workshops and teaching spaces was put out to tender. The tender included the Au­to­mo­tive, Welding, Fab­ri­ca­tion, En­gi­neer­ing, Plumbing, Elec­tri­cal, Carpentry and Con­struc­tion workshops and required the suc­cess­ful company to meet demanding standards of ex­cel­lence. The Boscotek product range was selected.

The Solution

Boscotek Mobile Flight Line Tool Storage — The Boscotek Mobile Flight Line Tool Storage offered mobile tool storage for these large flexible open spaces. Large volumes of precision tools and in­stru­ments could be stored together in a dust-resistant en­vi­ron­ment.

Boscotek Mobile Tool & Parts Drawer Storage Cabinets — Mobility and workflow flex­i­bil­i­ty were further enhanced with the Boscotek Mobile Metal Drawer Storage Cabinets that move around on castors.

Boscotek Heavy Duty Work­bench­es — These benches have height ad­justable legs that ensure each work­sta­tion meets the ergonomic re­quire­ments for each in­di­vid­ual. The workbench bench top is the 33mm thick com­pressed timber bench top with a 2mm laminated workface with black edge banding, resisting acid, alkali and oil.
